Request and Receive Feedback
With Leadr, requesting feedback just got easier. Asking for feedback is a great way to help you grow and help your team grow too!
Asking for feedback can take courage, but Leadr makes requesting feedback easy and painless. Receiving and giving feedback is vital for personal growth and is important for overall organizational health.
Requesting Feedback
Send a Feedback Request
At Leadr, we love Feedback! But we also understand that to obtain valuable insight from our team, we must factor in the time to complete our request. This is why many of our curated by Leadr templates include no more than five or so questions. Consider sending a survey for more lengthy response needs!
1. To request feedback, locate the Feedback tab on the left-hand side of your Leadr screen.
2. Next, locate the + New Feedback button at the upper right corner of the Feedback tab.
3. When you first begin creating this Feedback Request, you will start with the Details section.
Here you will enter the Title for your feedback request, the description, and a due date (if applicable).
4. After you add in the Details of this request, you will fill out the Questions for your Feedback Request
You will be able to choose the questions from scratch or you can use a template already created!
- To add questions from scratch, you will use the Green + Add Question button. Be sure to click "Save" when you are finished.
Please note: Managers can view and reflect on feedback requests you send out. This means, that when in Reviews->Reflections your manager can see the feedback you have requested. However, they cannot see the feedback you have responded to.
- To add questions from a template, you will use the Dark Blue Templates button.
Using the Templates option, you will see Templates created by your organization and Templates Curated by Leadr. Use the Green Use button to add these questions to your Feedback Request.
7. Your final step in creating a Feedback Request is to assign the Feedback to Respondents.
You can add Respondents by searching their name, scrolling through to find each person, or through the filter option which will allow you to add by department, team, direct reports, or recent users.
8. If everything looks good, click Send and the user(s) you sent the request to will get a notification and be able to respond to your questions.
Responding to Feedback
When someone sends you Feedback in Leadr it means they value your opinion and insight. At Leadr we suggest (and try ourselves) trying to respond to each prompt with 2-4 valuable sentences.
- After receiving an email notification, you can either click Go To Meeting from this email or open app.leadr.com to Navigate to the Feedback tab
Next, click into the Feedback request
- Begin to type out your responses
Feedback responses do not autosave. If you navigate away from an incomplete feedback request all responses will be lost. There is a possibility that your responses may get stored in your browser cache but make sure to send your feedback responses before clicking out of the feedback so you do not lose your progress.
- Once you are ready to submit, select the green send icon
Note: Once you send out a Feedback request, you cannot edit the Feedback after the fact. You can recall a Feedback request and send out a new one if you'd like to make any edits.
