Having issues connecting to your calendar? Troubleshoot common issues

With our upgraded Calendar Integration provider, you may have been prompted to disconnect and reconnect your calendar in your settings. If you had trouble doing so, here's how!

If you have received a pop-up similar to the picture above stating the app needs to be approved, then an azure admin (most likely an employee in IT) needs to approve the connection within your internal system. Your Azure admin can approve the connection by simply connecting their calendar.

How Can an Azure Admin Consent on Behalf of the Organization?

The usual process for approving calendar integration with Microsoft is to have one of the customer's Azure admins connect their calendar. During the calendar connection process the admin will be asked to accept permissions (scopes) that our CI system uses. At that step, the admin has the option to accept the permissions for their entire organization, which will then allow all users to connect their calendar.

  1. Disconnect your calendar in settings and then select "connect a calendar"

  1. Sign in with your account and check the box "consent on behalf of your organization". Make sure to select "accept" when finished.

Here is a Nylas (our calendar integration provider) article outlining a walkthrough of how to do so:
